Job summary

Amazon in Cape Town is seeking an HR Partner for the Builder Experience Team (BeXT) on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on delivering HR services across talent management, performance, compensation and employee relations while partnering with leaders at multiple levels.

The BeXT HR Partner will foster an inclusive environment, navigate complex scenarios, and ensure adherence to Amazon policies, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and strategic HR support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in HR, HRM, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or related field.
• Extensive human resource generalist experience.
• High proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AWS leadership and HR teams to implement HR strategies across talent and performance management, compensation and employee relations.
• Represent the company in CCMA conciliation and arbitration hearings with documentation.
• Provide HR support to Builders and leaders aligned to a business line or region.
• Consult, coach, and develop leadership with empathy; drive talent management and performance processes.
• Foster inclusion and advocate for Builders' needs through end-to-end experiences.
• Exercise high-judgement, manage ambiguity, and be first point of escalation for Builder concerns.
• Support Builder queries, navigate Amazon policies with discretion.
• Promote adoption of technology and self-service across HR processes.
• Collaborate across multiple levels of the organization from Builders to senior leaders.
