Placements24 is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal to lead the production team in daily operations, uphold high quality and safety standards, and drive efficiency. This hands-on role requires strong leadership and a proven track record in manufacturing supervision.

The ideal candidate will oversee scheduling, training, and performance evaluations while ensuring GMP compliance and continuous improvement across the line.

Formación

• Matric or equivalent; a tertiary qualification in a related field is advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production supervisory role within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a production team.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards in beverage manufacturing.
• Experience with GMP and HACCP principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with production scheduling and reporting is required.
• Must have valid work authorization for Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and direct the work of production line staff, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes, identifying and resolving any operational issues or deviations.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations relevant to food and beverage manufacturing.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of production operators.
• Manage the efficient use of materials and resources to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational.
• Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on output, efficiency, and quality.
• Implement and promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Ensure proper implementation of GMP on the production floor.
• Foster a positive and safe working environment for all team members.
