Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is hiring a Business Development Manager for Rental, Central and West Africa. You will generate sales, provide technical pump solutions, and manage customer relationships across mining, agricultural, and industrial sectors.

Based in South Africa, you will travel to client sites, conduct product demonstrations, and coordinate with rental and operations teams to fulfill orders. Applicants should have a business degree or equivalent and strong CRM experience.

Qualifications

• Associated business degree / trade qualification is required.
• Proven experience in business development in mining, agricultural, or industrial sectors.
• Strong pump knowledge including dewatering and slurry equipment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and offer tailored technical solutions.
• Proficiency in CRM software.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in mining, agricultural, and industrial sectors.
• Promote and sell Atlas Copco SRD's product offerings including rental pumps and dredging solutions.
• Develop sales strategies to increase market share and grow the flow customer base.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs and present pump solutions.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and act as main contact for inquiries, rentals and service concerns.
• Provide clients with technical advice on pump selection, application, and maintenance.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of Atlas Copco SRD’s product range and stay updated on industry trends.
• Prepare and submit accurate quotations for pump rentals, sales, and services; negotiate terms.
• Maintain sales records and report on sales activity; use CRM systems to track interactions and opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and align marketing efforts.
