Job summary

MVG Recruitment is seeking a Batch Release Pharmacist in Midrand, Gauteng to join the Quality Assurance team. The role ensures finished products are reviewed, released or rejected in line with cGMP standards and approved specs prior to distribution.

Reporting to the QA Manager, you will review batch records, verify dates in Oracle, manage non-conformities and CAPA, and maintain accurate lot status while supporting QA documentation audits.

Qualifications

• B Pharm Degree or Diploma is required.
• 3–5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing with QMS exposure.
• CAPA experience is required.
• Experience with Oracle is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control the release of finished product batches for sale.
• Review batch manufacturing and packaging records for compliance.
• Verify manufacturing and expiry dates on Oracle system.
• Ensure QC analytical reports are available and compliant.
• Investigate deviations and propose CAPA where necessary.
• Maintain accurate lot status and shop order closures on Oracle.
• Oversee QA documentation audits and inspections.
• Escalate major non-conformities to QA Manager and Responsible Pharmacist.
