Placements24 is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to oversee vibrant bar operations in Soweto. You will lead a team of bartenders, curate an exciting beverage program, and guarantee guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidate has expert mixology knowledge, strong leadership, and financial acumen to drive inventory control and cost management while maintaining top service standards. Nights/weekends flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a busy venue.
• Expert knowledge of mixology, wine and spirits with cocktail flair.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid financial acumen including P&L management and inventory control.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage all bar operations, inventory, ordering and cost control.
• Develop and curate an innovative beverage menu of cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Lead, train and motivate bar staff to maintain high service standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, well-organized bar in line with health regs.
• Engage with guests, handle inquiries and resolve issues for satisfaction.
