Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join a fast-growing, international team. You will design and operate AWS cloud infrastructure for financial projects, manage Linux systems for high availability, and build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.

You’ll deploy containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes and automate provisioning with IaC tools such as Terraform, SaltStack, Chef, Ansible or Puppet.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps engineering within banking/finance environments.
• Proficient in Linux-based operating systems.
• Experience with containers: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Scripting skills: Bash, Python, PHP, Perl, Java, Go.
• Infrastructure as Code with SaltStack, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Web servers: Apache, Nginx, FPM, Node.
• Knowledge of databases: AWS RDS (MariaDB, MySQL) and NoSQL like Redis/MongoDB.
• Replication, messaging (RabbitMQ) and networking basics (OSI, AWS TGW).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS for banking and finance projects.
• Manage Linux-based operating systems for high availability and security.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Deploy and orchestrate Docker/Kubernetes workloads.
• Automate provisioning with SaltStack, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Configure and manage web servers (Apache, Nginx, FPM, Node).
• Set up load balancers for reliability and scalability.
• Administer databases including AWS RDS (MariaDB/MySQL) and Redis/MongoDB.
• Implement replication and messaging (RabbitMQ).
• Collaborate with networking teams for connectivity including AWS TGW and on-premise integration.
