Pick n Pay in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Bakery Supervisor/Manager to oversee all aspects of hygiene, safety, production planning, and stock management in the Bakery Department. You will ensure product availability and presentation for trade each day and drive profitability through efficient operations.

The role requires Matric, preferably NQF Level 3 Bakery Qualification, and 3–5 years in bakery supervision or management, with strong leadership and the ability to work retail hours

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• NQF Level 3 Bakery Qualification preferred.
• 3–5 years bakery supervision/management experience.
• 1–3 years in a bakery supervisor/management role.
• Strong bakery production, food safety, and stock management knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Operational Excellence: Prepare Bakery Department for trade with product availability and presentation.
• Maintain hygiene, food safety and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure compliance with bakery procedures and food safety regulations.
• Product Quality & Production: Manage daily production planning for fresh products throughout trading day.
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and packaging standards.
• Commercial & Sales Performance: Drive sales via production planning and stock availability.
• Stock Management: Ensure effective stock control, rotation, and replenishment; FIFO practices.
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a high-performing bakery team.
