Job summary

Pick n Pay in Gauteng is seeking a skilled Baker/Bakery Supervisor to manage daily bakery operations, ensure products meet recipe standards and support store readiness at opening. This role requires transferability between stores, a minimum 3 years baking experience, and a Matric with a preferred NQF 3 bakery qualification.

You will oversee merchandising, food safety, and staff coaching while maintaining hygiene, stock rotation and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• NQF 3 Bakery qualification is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years baker experience.
• Experience as baker/bakery supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Merchandising management and quality checks on merchandise.
• Ensure products are produced according to recipe specifications.
• Ensure department is ready for store opening time.
• Monitor hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards.
• Manage stock rotation and adherence to food safety standards.
• Coach staff and manage Kronos scheduling; set targets.
• Handle administration and maintenance of equipment and processes.
