Placements24 is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our Upington technology team. You will design, develop, and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs powering cutting-edge applications, collaborating with frontend, product, and stakeholders to deliver scalable software solutions.

The role emphasizes robust, efficient systems, thorough testing, and active participation in code reviews within a dynamic team in Upington. Strong backend experience and cloud/DB know-how are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, C#) and relevant frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Optimize database performance, manage data integrity, and implement efficient storage solutions.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate server-side logic.
• Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, participating in code reviews.
