We are seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain server-side applications supporting Payments, Investor Services, Trade, Pricing & Billing, and Liquidity Management processes. The role focuses on creating scalable, secure, and high-performance back-end systems that improve operational efficiency and enhance the client experience. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in backend development with domain knowledge in financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, or similar technologies.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to support internal and client-facing applications.
• Work closely with business, operations, and front-end teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, ensure reliability, and maintain data integrity.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to process improvements, system documentation, and code quality standards.
• Participate in Agile development practices, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on complex technical challenges (senior-level).

Experience & Qualifications

Mid-Level (4–7 years of relevant experience):

• Strong experience in Java and backend development.
• Knowledge of Payments, Investor Services, Trade, Pricing & Billing, or Liquidity Management processes.
• Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and RESTful API development.
• Ability to independently deliver features and resolve backend issues.
• Contributes to system documentation, testing, and process improvements.

Senior-Level (7+ years of relevant experience):

• Deep expertise in backend architecture and Java-based development for financial services applications.
• Broad understanding of Payments, Investor Services, Trade, Pricing & Billing, and Liquidity Management.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance systems and microservices.
• Leadership skills, including mentoring, guiding technical teams, and driving strategic backend initiatives.
• Acts as an escalation point for complex backend or client-related technical issues.
