Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Cape Town is seeking a software engineer to participate in all aspects of agile development, from design through deployment, and to architect end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale. You will work primarily with ReactJS, NodeJS and AWS, collaborating with designers and front-end and back-end engineers to build reliable APIs and scalable web applications.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/engineering and 3+ years of experience; strong debugging,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering.
3+ years of experience building large-scale software applications.
Experience building web applications.
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
Knowledge ReactJS, NodeJS and AWS.
Excellent debugging and optimisation skills.
Unit/integration testing experience.

Responsibilities

Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment.
Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimised for speed and scale.
Work primarily in ReactJS, NodeJS and AWS.
Engage with inspiring designers and front end engineers, and collaborate with leading back end engineers as we create reliable APIs.
Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent video conferences.
