Job summary

AES Global is seeking an Intermediate Back-End Developer (C#) to help build its insurance-management platform and translate business requirements into robust back-end features. You’ll work across the SDLC, translating requirements into technical specifications and implementing new product features.

You’ll collaborate with product owners and architects, conduct impact analysis, and manage code with Git. This hybrid role is based in Cape Town with two days in the office, and requires a solid grasp

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of SDLC, software design patterns and OO design.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core 3.1 and .NET 6, RESTful APIs, Azure, Git and EF Core.
• An IT degree or diploma is required.

We’re working with an established insurtech company — a software provider to the insurance industry — and they’re looking for an Intermediate Back-End Developer (C#) to help build its insurance-management platform.

You’ll work across the software development lifecycle, translating business and technical requirements into product features, and building high-quality, well-tested back-end solutions.

• Intermediate-level experience with a solid understanding of the SDLC, software design patterns, TDD and OO design
• Good working knowledge of C#, .NET Core 3.1 and .NET 6, RESTful APIs, Azure, Git and Entity Framework Core
• An IT degree or diploma

Advantageous

• Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), microservices and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Insurance, insurtech, financial services or fintech experience

Working model

Hybrid, based in Cape Town — two days a week in the office.
