Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Azure Infrastructure Lead to own the enterprise infrastructure, databases, backup, disaster recovery, and cloud migration. You will manage Windows and Linux servers, SQL Server environments, virtualization, storage, networking, and security while guiding workloads to Microsoft Azure.

You will drive migration projects, implement Azure networking, Entra ID, governance, and monitoring, and ensure DR readiness with RTO/RPO compliance.

Qualifikationen

Azure Infrastructure Lead

Lead. Migrate. Optimise. Own the Platform. We’re looking for a hands‑on Azure Infrastructure Lead to take ownership of enterprise infrastructure, databases, backup, disaster recovery and cloud migration. This is a senior operational and technical leadership role for someone who can keep critical platforms stable today while driving the move to Azure tomorrow. You’ll manage Windows and Linux servers, SQL Server environments, virtualisation, storage, networking and security, while leading the assessment, planning and migration of workloads to Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both day-to-day operations and strategic cloud delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and support Windows Server, Linux, virtualisation and core infrastructure platforms
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server environments, including performance, high availability, backup and recovery
• Own enterprise backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions, including testing and RTO/RPO compliance

What You Bring

• Matric plus a Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 8 years in infrastructure operations, systems engineering or infrastructure management.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration experience.
• Proven experience with enterprise backup, recovery and disaster recovery.
• Hands‑on track record in Azure cloud migration and hybrid environments.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper‑V, networking and firewalls.
• Experience with Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup and Entra ID.
• PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation skills.
• Understanding of ITIL, change management and operational governance.
