Job summary

Paracon is seeking an experienced Azure IaaS Cloud SME to join our enterprise cloud transformation team on a 12-month contract in Rosebank / Hybrid. You will lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zones, hybrid connectivity, and security controls.

Ideal candidates have 8–12+ years in IT infrastructure, deep Azure expertise, and a proven track record in large-scale cloud migrations, RCA, and FinOps.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of IT infrastructure and cloud engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure IaaS, security governance, and advanced cloud networking.
• Experience designing enterprise Landing Zones and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute/VPN/Private Endpoints).
• Legal eligibility to work in South Africa with Rosebank/hybrid arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across complex Azure IaaS environments.
• Design, implement, support and govern enterprise-scale Landing Zones and resource hierarchies.
• Develop secure hybrid connectivity architectures (VNet Peering, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, Private Endpoints).
• Define and implement governance, security controls, and FinOps practices.
• Support cloud migration, workload modernization, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Azure infrastructure incidents; lead RCA and CSI.
