Job summary

DVT is seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Cloud Platform Engineer to help clients establish, automate, and operationalise Fabric environments. You will work with cloud, security, architecture, and data teams to design reliable, governed platforms ready for enterprise adoption.

This role focuses on building secure, scalable foundations, integrating Fabric with Azure services, and developing automation patterns to support ongoing governance and runbooks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Azure Cloud Engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its core platform components.
• Experience implementing Fabric capacities, workspaces, and OneLake.
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and cloud security controls.
• Experience designing and managing Fabric environments across DEV, TEST, and PROD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft Fabric platform foundations including capacities, workspaces, OneLake, environment configuration.
• Establish and manage DEV, TEST, and PROD environments and deployment strategies.
• Implement IaC using Terraform and automation technologies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Implement security, identity, and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC.
• Integrate Microsoft Fabric with Azure services and broader cloud platforms.
• Develop reusable automation and deployment patterns for consistency and scalability.
• Support monitoring, logging, operational readiness, and platform governance.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to enable workloads and remove platform barriers.
• Produce technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on Fabric platform architecture and engineering practices.
