Job summary
DVT is seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Cloud Platform Engineer to help clients establish, automate, and secure Microsoft Fabric environments. You will collaborate with cloud, security, architecture, and data teams to design scalable foundations, governance, and enterprise-ready platforms.
The role focuses on building secure, automated Fabric platforms rather than data pipelines, analytics, or reporting, working across DEV, TEST, and PROD in enterprise settings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Azure Cloud Engineering experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Azure certifications would be advantageous.
- Terraform, DevOps, or cloud platform certifications are beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its core platform components.
- Experience implementing Fabric capacities, workspaces, and OneLake.
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience implementing Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and cloud security controls.
- Experience designing and managing Fabric environments across DEV, TEST, and PROD.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, governance, and operational best practices.
- Experience automating cloud platforms using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Experience working within enterprise cloud environments.
- Good understanding of data platform concepts and how data workloads consume cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Microsoft Fabric platform foundations, including capacities, workspaces, OneLake, environment structures, and platform configuration.
- Establish and manage DEV, TEST, and PROD environments and deployment strategies.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and other automation technologies.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
- Implement security, identity, and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC.
- Integrate Microsoft Fabric with Azure services and broader cloud platforms.
- Develop reusable automation and deployment patterns to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Support monitoring, logging, operational readiness, and platform governance.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to enable workloads and remove platform barriers.
- Produce technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on Fabric platform architecture and engineering practices.
