Job summary

Network Contracting is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to help design, deploy, and support modern cloud environments in South Africa. The role emphasizes hands-on experience with Azure services, networking, identity management, monitoring, backup, and automation.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in IT, CS, Cloud computing or related field is advantageous
• Azure certifications such as AZ-104/AZ-305/AZ-204 are advantageous
• Certifications in cloud, networking or infrastructure are advantageous
• Additional information security qualifications are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage, networking and identity services.
• Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot incidents and support availability, performance, security and cost optimisation.
• Implement access controls, backup, disaster recovery and operational best practices.
• Support cloud migrations and automate deployments using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tools.
