Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in IT, CS, Cloud computing or related field is advantageous

• Design, configure, deploy and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage, networking and identity services.
• Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot incidents and support availability, performance, security and cost optimisation.
• Implement access controls, backup, disaster recovery and operational best practices.
• Support cloud migrations and automate deployments using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tools.

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education

• Relevant degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cloud Computing or a related field is advantageous.
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-204 will be advantageous.
• Relevant cloud, networking or infrastructure certifications will be advantageous.
• Additional information security qualifications will be advantageous

Experience

• Typically 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure or systems administration.
• Practical hands‑on experience administering and implementing Microsoft Azure services.
• Experience with Azure networking, identity and access management, monitoring, backup and security controls.
• Experience with cloud migration, automation and production troubleshooting will be highly advantageous.

Skills

• Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, App Service, Storage and Azure networking.
• Networking fundamentals, VNets, subnets, DNS, connectivity and identity/RBAC.
• Monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, security and cloud cost management.
• PowerShell or scripting, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Bicep, ARM or Terraform.
