Job summary

PBT Group in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced AWS Python Developer to join a strategic cloud transformation programme within one of South Africa's leading financial institutions.

You'll design and develop cloud-native solutions using AWS serverless technologies and Python, building REST APIs and API integrations within an Agile delivery team to replace a legacy on-premise system with a modern SaaS platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python development with AWS serverless
• Experience designing REST APIs and integrating systems with API Gateway and IAM security
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures using SQS/SNS
• Experience delivering microservices in cloud environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code is a plus

PBT Group is looking for an experienced AWS Python Developer to join a strategic cloud transformation programme within one of South Africa's leading financial institutions.

You'll play a key role in the re-platforming of a large-scale enterprise collections platform, replacing a legacy on-premise solution with a modern cloud-based SaaS platform. Working within an Agile delivery team, you'll design and develop scalable, secure integration components using modern AWS serverless technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex integration challenges, building cloud-native applications, and developing high-performance event-driven solutions.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop cloud-native applications using Python.
• Build secure REST APIs and API integrations.
