Job summary

Affirmative Portfolios seeks an ATO Inspector (Pilot) based in Pretoria to process applications for ATOs/DTOs and to audit training organisations for compliance with SA Civil Aviation Regulations and ICAO standards.

You will contribute to developing CARs/CATS, perform audits of certificate holders, and provide detailed reports with recommendations to enforce regulatory actions and improve training standards across the sector.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPL with Grade II Flight Instructor rating under Part 61.
• 300 hours' flight instructor training experience.
• Airline Transport Pilot Licence with Grade I Flight Instructor rating (Ideal).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Civil Aviation Technical Standards (CATS) for Part 141 in compliance with ICAO Annex 1.
• Conduct audits of Part 141 and Part 60 certificate holders to establish compliance.
• Provide factual audit reports and monitor corrective actions within set timeframes.
• Develop and implement standards for licensing administration to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
