Job summary

Placements24 is actively seeking an Aviation Safety Officer in Welkom to lead the development and implementation of safety policies and oversee audits and risk assessments. You will champion a culture of safety across operations, ensuring compliance with ICAO standards and local regulations.

The role requires a qualification in Aviation Safety Management and at least four years in aviation safety or compliance, with strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with SMS and risk

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Aviation Safety Management or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of aviation safety or compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO standards and local aviation regulations.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication abilities.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for aviation operations.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards.
