Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aviation Safety Inspector for a hybrid role in Mahikeng, North West. You will conduct safety inspections, audits, and investigations to ensure adherence to SACAR and ICAO standards, while coordinating with authorities and internal teams.

The role requires 8+ years in aviation safety, a relevant degree, and an inspector license or equivalent, with flexibility to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in aviation safety, regulatory compliance, or related operations.
• Valid Aviation Safety Inspector license or equivalent is a strong asset.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO, SACAR, and SMS concepts.
• Experience in audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as required.
• Team player with independent work capability.

Responsabilités

• Perform safety inspections and audits of operators, facilities, and equipment.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Review and approve SMS and operational procedures.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs and campaigns.
• Monitor compliance with regulations, airworthiness standards, and best practices.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings and follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with authorities, stakeholders, and internal teams on safety matters.
• Contribute to risk assessments and hazard identification processes.
