Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Quality Inspector for a Durban-based role. You will audit aircraft maintenance activities, review records, and ensure compliance with SACAA, EASA, FAA, and AS9100 standards to maintain airworthiness.

The ideal candidate has substantial QA experience in aviation and strong analytical skills, with excellent communication to liaise with maintenance teams and management in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aviation Quality Inspector or in a similar QA role within aviation.
• Deep understanding of SACAA, EASA, FAA regulations and AS9100.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and audits of aircraft, components, and maintenance processes to ensure regulatory compliance and standards.
• Review maintenance records, work orders, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate non-conformities and implement CAPA.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of aviation regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to promote a strong quality culture in Durban.
