Job summary

Placements24 in Kimberley, Northern Cape seeks an Aviation Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure maintenance activities meet quality, safety and regulatory standards. You will inspect aircraft, components, and processes, document non-conformities, and drive corrective actions with strong attention to detail.

The role requires an AME license or equivalent and at least 6 years in aviation maintenance with QA/inspection experience, plus knowledge of SACAA regulations and QMS.

Qualifications

• AME license or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of aviation maintenance experience with QA/inspection focus.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and airworthiness directives.
• Experience performing quality inspections and audits in MRO or airline environments.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS).
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently in the Kimberley operational setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive quality inspections of aircraft, components, and maintenance processes.
• Verify maintenance activities comply with approved data, manuals, and SACAA requirements.
• Review and audit maintenance records, work orders, and documentation for accuracy.
• Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies.
• Ensure tooling, equipment, and facilities meet required standards.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Promote a quality-focused culture throughout the maintenance organization.
• Stay updated on aviation regulations and quality standards.
