Job summary

Placements24 in George, Western Cape, is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and ensure airworthiness of the fleet. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of aircraft systems, and practical experience with regulatory standards.

You will oversee daily maintenance activities, manage a skilled technician group, and drive safety and quality across operations in a scenic Western Cape location.

Qualifications

• Certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) or equivalent trade qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of the aircraft maintenance department.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Manage scheduling and execution of scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
• Oversee inventory control for aircraft parts and materials with traceability compliance.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide training and mentorship to maintenance technicians.
