Job summary

Placements24 in George, Western Cape seeks a skilled Avionics Technician to join the team. You will install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft electronic systems, including navigation and flight control systems, ensuring safety and peak performance.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, using diagnostic tools, performing maintenance, and maintaining records. A relevant certification or diploma in Avionics or Electronics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Avionics Technician or in a related field.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in Avionics or Electronics.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and avionics components.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment specific to avionics.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and calibrate avionics equipment and associated wiring.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in communication, navigation, autopilot, and other electronic systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance checks on avionics systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to perform repairs and modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Stay current with new avionics technologies and regulatory changes.
