Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Logistics Coordinator to manage the supply chain and inventory of aircraft parts in Mossel Bay. The role ensures components are available for maintenance and operations, coordinating procurement, storage and distribution in compliance with aviation regulations.

You will liaise with suppliers and freight forwarders, maintain accurate records, and support customs documentation for international shipments in a fast-paced, growing aviation support environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory control, preferably within aviation.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations related to handling and storage of aircraft parts.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and standard office applications.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement, receipt, and inspection of aircraft parts and supplies against PO and specs.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using the inventory management system.
• Coordinate timely dispatch of parts to maintenance stations and operational teams with proper documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth delivery of goods.
• Ensure stored parts comply with regulatory requirements for handling, storage, and shelf-life management.
