Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic in Mossel Bay to maintain and repair a fleet of airport ground equipment, including baggage handling gear, tugs, de-icing units and power units. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to ensure equipment uptime and safe operations.

The ideal candidate has proven heavy equipment/mechanic experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to read manuals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment, diesel engines, or automotive mechanics.
• Experience with Aviation Ground Support Equipment is highly preferred.
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical specifications.
• Valid driver''s license; forklift certification is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in varying weather conditions.

About the Role
