Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Compliance Specialist to oversee adherence to national and international aviation regulations in Sandton, Gauteng. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to translate requirements into practical procedures.

You will monitor regulatory changes, develop compliance programs, and lead internal audits and external inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in aviation compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related role.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks and requirements.
• Experience with safety management systems (SMS) is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, interpret, and disseminate changes in aviation regulations (e.g., SA-CAR, ICAO Annexes, EASA).
• Develop and implement compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate compliance levels.
• Prepare reports on compliance status for management and regulatory bodies.
• Assist in preparing for external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Manage documentation related to compliance and safety management systems.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Investigate compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and industry stakeholders on compliance matters.
