Job summary

Advius (Pty) Ltd in Potchefstroom is seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to run the workshop floor day to day. The Foreman leads the technicians, allocates and controls work, and makes sure every vehicle is repaired right the first time, on time and to manufacturer standards.

You will lead from the front, keep productivity high, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in a supervisory role in a franchised dealership with strong diagnostic skills and DMS

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a supervisory or foreman role in a franchised dealership workshop.
• Strong diagnostic ability on modern petrol and diesel vehicles.
• Experience with warranty procedures, job cards and a dealership management system (DMS).
• Clean Criminal Record

Responsibilities

• Plan and control daily workshop loading for technicians.
• Supervise technicians during diagnostics and repairs.
• Conduct quality checks and road tests to ensure first-time quality.
• Monitor productivity and turnaround times against targets.
• Manage job cards, time records and warranty claims.
• Coordinate with service advisors and parts to maintain workflow.
• Handle technical escalations and rework.
• Enforce HSE standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Coach and develop technicians and apprentices.
• Report workshop performance to the Service/Workshop Manager.

A well-established franchised motor dealership in Potchefstroom is looking for an experienced Workshop Foreman to run its workshop floor day to day. The Foreman leads the technicians, allocates and controls work, and makes sure every vehicle is repaired right the first time, on time and to manufacturer standards. The right person knows the trade inside out, leads from the front, and keeps productivity, quality and customer satisfaction high.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, allocate and control daily workshop loading across the technician team
• Supervise, guide and support technicians on diagnostics, repairs and services
• Run quality control and road tests so work is done right the first time
• Monitor technician productivity, efficiency and turnaround times against targets
• Manage job cards, time recording and warranty claims accurately and on time
• Work with service advisors and the parts department to keep jobs moving
• Handle technical escalations and come-backs
• Enforce health and safety, housekeeping and manufacturer standards in the workshop
• Coach and develop technicians and apprentices
• Report to the Service/Workshop Manager on workshop performance

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role in a franchised dealership workshop
• Strong diagnostic ability on modern petrol and diesel vehicles
• Experience with warranty procedures, job cards and a dealership management system (DMS)
• Clean Criminal Record

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Toyota dealership workshop experience (strongly preferred)
• Toyota technical training and certifications (e.g. Toyota Diagnostic / Master Technician)
• Experience leading both passenger and light commercial vehicle teams
• Lives in or near Potchefstroom, or willing to relocate
