Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Inspector for our automotive components client in Benoni, Gauteng. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections across raw materials, in-process parts, and finished goods, using calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and gauges.

You’ll document findings, identify defects, and work with production to implement corrective actions to prevent non-conforming shipments.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Control Inspector in automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or ISO/TS 16949 is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished automotive components.
• Use calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Identify, document, and report non-conforming products and processes.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to quality control plans, procedures, and standards (ISO/TS 16949).
• Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare quality reports.
• Participate in root cause analyses for defects and conduct line audits.
