Placements24 represents an automotive manufacturing facility in Rustenburg seeking a meticulous Automotive Quality Control Inspector to ensure parts and finished vehicles meet strict standards. You will inspect raw materials, in-process components and final products, using calipers, micrometers and gauges to verify dimensions and material integrity.

The role requires reading technical drawings, documenting non-conformities, and collaborating with production to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in QA is an advantage.
• Experience in quality control or inspection in automotive/manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in inspection tasks.
• Strong observational skills to identify subtle defects.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and material integrity.
• Compare parts against engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Document and report non-conformities or deviations from requirements.
• Collaborate with production/engineering to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform visual inspections for cosmetic defects, assembly errors and surface finish.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
• Adhere to quality management system procedures (ISO 9001 or IATF 16949).
