Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Production Supervisor for an automotive manufacturing facility in Randburg, Gauteng. This on-site role focuses on leading a production team, ensuring schedule adherence and high-quality output on the factory floor.

You will monitor lines, address deviations, and drive safety and process improvements while collaborating with engineering, maintenance and QA teams. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in production supervision within automotive manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and production tracking software.
• A relevant technical qualification or diploma is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of a production team, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor production lines, identify and address deviations promptly.
• Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Train and mentor new and existing team members, providing guidance and feedback.
• Manage team performance, attendance, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance to optimize processes.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate production records and assist in shift reports.
• Ensure efficient use of materials and resources.
• Uphold the company's commitment to high-quality automotive manufacturing.
