Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• 5+ years in automotive performance engineering or vehicle dynamics.
• Proficiency with engine dynamometers and data acquisition systems.
• Strong thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and controls knowledge.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and GT-Power or similar.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for improving vehicle performance, including engine power, fuel efficiency, and handling characteristics.
• Conduct data acquisition and analysis from vehicle testing, simulation software, and dyno runs.
• Optimize engine management systems, including fuel injection, ignition timing, and boost control.
• Analyze and refine chassis dynamics, suspension geometry, and aerodynamic properties.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure performance targets are met from concept to production.
• Develop and validate performance models using simulation tools (e.g., CFD, FEA).
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations on performance findings and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of emerging automotive technologies and performance trends.
• Troubleshoot performance-related issues and develop effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive performance engineering, powertrain development, or vehicle dynamics.
• Proficiency with engine dynamometers, data acquisition systems, and performance testing procedures.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and control systems.
• Experience with simulation software such as MATLAB/Simulink, GT-Power, or similar.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver results.
• Knowledge of motorsport engineering is a plus.
