Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng, seeks a Senior Automotive Performance Engineer to optimize vehicle performance, drivability, and efficiency. You'll lead calibration of engine control systems and work with cross-functional teams to implement performance solutions.

The role requires 5–7 years' experience in engine calibration, familiarity with INCA, ETAS, CANape, and a strong background in thermodynamics and emissions control. Hybrid and EV knowledge is a plus.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in automotive performance engineering, with a strong focus on engine calibration and control systems.
• Proficiency in engine calibration tools (e.g., INCA, ETAS, CANape) and data acquisition systems.
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, combustion principles, and emissions control technologies.
• Experience with vehicle dynamics simulation and modeling software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
