Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Performance Engineer to join a fully remote engineering team supporting operations in Vereeniging. The role focuses on optimizing vehicle performance through data analysis, simulation, and development of advanced control strategies for engine, transmission, and chassis dynamics.

You will collaborate virtually with design and testing departments, analyze performance data, and develop simulations and control algorithms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive performance engineering, including engine and powertrain optimization.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and GT-SUITE.
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, thermodynamics and control systems.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and post-processing tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze vehicle performance data using advanced software tools to identify areas for improvement.
