Placements24 seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead the automotive manufacturing plant in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. You will drive production planning, lean initiatives, and safety compliance while guiding a diverse team to achieve targets and uphold quality standards.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost control, and continuous improvement; relocation support is available for qualified candidates.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or Operations Management.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in operations management within automotive manufacturing.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control and supply chain in automotive context.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
• Ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling and resource allocation for efficient workflow.
• Lead, train and motivate the production team, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Manage operational budgets, control costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering and supply chain to resolve production issues.
• Monitor KPIs and drive data-driven improvements.
