Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Benoni to contribute to next-generation automotive components. You will lead design and development across concept to prototype, collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and testing teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 4+ years in automotive design, and strong CAD skills (CATIA V5/V6, SolidWorks) with experience in FEA/CFD, DFMEA, and DVP&R.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of mechanical design experience in Automotive sector.
• Strong CAD skills with CATIA/SolidWorks and simulations.
• Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for automotive applications using CAD (CATIA/SolidWorks).
• Perform rigorous FEA and CFD analyses to optimize performance and weight.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and testing to meet design requirements.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and validation plans; participate in design reviews.
