Placements24 is seeking a creative Mechanical Design Engineer (Automotive) for Soweto. You will design and develop automotive components from concept to production within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related automotive field.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 or similar automotive CAD tools.
- Experience with FEA for analyzing component performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive mechanical components and systems using CAD.
- Perform stress, thermal, and vibration analyses to ensure design integrity.
- Create manufacturing drawings, tolerances, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Support prototype building, testing, and validation activities.
- Stay updated on automotive trends and technologies to drive innovation.
