Job summary

Ellahi Consulting seeks a Junior Branch Financial Manager for a reputable national dealership in Somerset West, Western Cape. The role offers exposure to a busy automotive finance environment and a chance to learn and grow within the financial team.

You will assist with monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow, while supporting invoicing, rebates, and supplier payments. A strong eye for detail and 1–2 years of relevant experience are ideal.

Qualifications

• A completed BCom degree, Diploma in Financial Management, or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 1–2 years financial experience, preferably within the motor retail sector or a similar fast-paced inventory-based industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Drive, Automate, or Kerridge) and intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and daily cash flow monitoring.
• Transaction Control: Oversee vehicle invoicing, processing of deal files, and ensuring accurate allocation of manufacturer rebates and commissions.
• Debtors & Creditors: Manage outstanding balances, follow up on factory receivables, and ensure timeous payment of dealership suppliers.
• Compliance & Audits: Maintain strict adherence to internal controls, FICA regulations, and assist with year-end audit preparations.
• Team Collaboration: Support the Senior Financial Manager and Dealer Principal with ad-hoc financial analysis to drive branch profitability.
