Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to translate business requirements into comprehensive test scenarios and execute tests. You will design readable automated scripts, contribute to framework improvements, and lead testing activities across UI and API tests.

You will participate in load testing, write clear test documentation, and provide technical guidance while engaging in agile ceremonies to understand requirements and non-functional needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years relevant experience in software testing.
• 4 years automation testing experience developing regression and sanity tests using open-source tools (UI and API)
• 2 years load and performance testing, monitoring and reporting
• Proven experience creating automation frameworks
• Proven understanding of automation testing fundamentals
• Testing technologies: Selenium Webdriver, NUnit, Cucumber, Karate, Postman, Appium, Groovy, Rest Assured, IntelliJ, Charles Proxy, Gatling, Java, Python

Responsibilities

• Analyse and translate business requirements into test scenarios and test cases
• Design and script automated test scripts according to development guidelines
• Participate in automation code reviews and provide feedback
• Improve automation framework to increase coverage
• Prepare and execute load and performance tests with reports and recommendations
• Document test cases thoroughly
• Ensure testing processes are followed
• Remain knowledgeable to support developers and testers
• Provide test leadership and technical guidance to the team
• Research and implement new testing technologies
• Participate in agile ceremonies to refine requirements and identify non-functional requirements
