Job summary

Network Finance is seeking an experienced AI & Automation Platform Engineer to partner with Sales, HR, Finance, Technical Support, Production, and Marketing to build scalable automation solutions in Randburg. You will design, deploy, and continuously improve AI agents and workflows, owning solutions through their lifecycle.

You will develop core components of an internal AI platform, including model routing, agent runtimes, knowledge services, integrations, and user access layers, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in software development, automation, or data engineering.
• Experience building AI or LLM-based applications, including retrieval-augmented generation.
• Proficiency in Python and another typed language (Java/TS/C#).
• Experience integrating with ERP/CRM via APIs and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with departments to identify inefficiencies and prioritise automation.
• Translate requirements into AI and automation solutions with scope and risk assessments.
• Design, build, deploy, and improve automation agents and workflows.
• Develop core components of the internal AI platform and ensure governance.
• Monitor platform operations, performance, costs, and incidents.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Maintain technical documentation covering architecture and procedures.
