Job summary

Profile Personnel in Stellenbosch seeks an AI & Automation Specialist to join its IT team. You will design and implement AI agents, automated workflows and practical Microsoft 365 solutions to improve business processes.

With 4–5 years’ relevant experience, you will translate business needs into scalable automation, collaborate with divisions and report outcomes to management. This role focuses on measurable business impact, not pure IT support.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years' experience in technology, systems, Microsoft 365, automation or a solutions-focused role.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into practical AI, automation and workflow solutions.
• Hands-on experience with: Microsoft 365 licences, permissions and administration; Copilot Studio; Power Automate; Power Pages; Azure-related setup and permissions; SharePoint; Visual Studio; APIs, integrations and data structures.
• SQL database experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to assess and communicate the operational, time-saving and financial impact of technology solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable preparing management and Exco-level project updates.

Responsibilities

• Identify workflow bottlenecks, repetitive tasks and opportunities for automation.
• Design, build and maintain AI agents, automated workflows and digital solutions.
• Develop and improve solutions using Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Pages and SharePoint.
• Engage with users and departments to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing automation projects.
• Assess and quantify time savings, cost savings, productivity gains and operational improvements.
• Manage the AI and automation project pipeline, including priorities, risks and deliverables.
• Provide clear management/Exco reporting on projects, benefits, risks and next steps.
• Understand Microsoft licensing, permissions and technical requirements for proposed solutions.
• Work with developers, vendors and internal stakeholders where additional technical support is required.
