Job summary

PwC South Africa in East London seeks a capable Manager to lead audit assignments and manage a portfolio of smaller clients. You will maintain strong client relationships, oversee engagement performance, and contribute to business development while coaching team members.

You will drive audit quality in line with PwC methodology and professional standards, with up to 20% travel to regional clients. The role requires CA(SA) and 2–4 years post-articles experience.

Qualifications

Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls. In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion. You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team member’s unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. Role Summary

Perform a senior role on audit assignments on a permanent basis. Assist in managing a portfolio of smaller clients, maintain sound client relationships and assist in managing the audit team.

Qualifications / Certifications required

• Qualified CA(SA)
• Experience required: At least 2-4 years post articles experience

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
• Be involved in the financial management of clients
• Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
