Job summary

Dante, a well-established law firm, seeks an Associate Attorney with solid environmental law experience to join their Parkwood team. You will work in a specialist practice focusing on environmental, regulatory and sustainability matters, across sectors.

The ideal candidate holds an LLB, is admitted to the SA High Court, and demonstrates strong research, drafting and communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team. An LLM in Environmental Law would be advantageous.

Qualifications

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – ENVIRONMENTAL LAWLocation: Parkwood
Salary: Dependent on your experience

Our client, a well-established specialist law firm, is looking for an Associate Attorney with solid environmental law experience to join their team.

The successful candidate will work within a specialist practice focusing on environmental, regulatory and sustainability-related legal matters, with exposure to a range of complex matters across various sectors.

Minimum Requirements

• LLB degree
• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
• Solid environmental law experience
• Post-admission experience within environmental law or a closely related practice
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
• Good understanding of South African environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• LLM in Environmental Law or a related field would be advantageous
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle advantageous

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in:

• Environmental law and regulatory matters
• Environmental compliance and advisory work
• Environmental authorisations and related processes
