Job summary

Milton Resourcing in Johannesburg is seeking an admitted attorney with 1+ year PQE to specialise in cyber incident response, cyber litigation, insurance coverage, data protection and technology law. You will draft opinions, pleadings and correspondence; advise insurers and corporate clients; support data protection and cyber governance matters, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• 1+ years’ post-qualification experience.
• Insurance disputes experience is essential.
• Experience or strong interest in cyber law, data protection and technology-related disputes.
• Exposure to cyber incident response, ransomware, privacy regulation or insurance coverage disputes is advantageous.
• Commercial litigation, financial lines, arbitration and dispute resolution experience will be beneficial.
• Excellent legal drafting, grammar, communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and document management systems.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented, motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
