Job summary

PepsiCo in Bethlehem, Free State, is seeking a maintenance operative to uphold sieve room operations and support sifter maintenance.

You will handle spares stock control, sieve stretching, and liaise with milling for requirements, while ensuring safety, cleanliness and good housekeeping. This role contributes to plant reliability and food safety in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Health and safety standards compliance.
• NQF4/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• At least 6 months in a similar environment.
• Computer literacy required.
• Forklift license advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Spares stock control for sieve room.
• Perform sieve stretching and maintenance.
• Maintain plansifter and purifier equipment.
• Coordinate with Milling team on requirements.
• Carry out safety and cleanliness checks.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to safety requirements.
• Assist with bin dips tasks.
• Clean the Mill area and assist with mill chokes.
• Relieve in rework mixing and bran & bulk loading.
• General plant maintenance duties.

Overview

The role of the incumbent is to maintain the sieve room for spare stock levels, partake in sifter maintenance, sieve stretching, and general plant maintenance

Responsibilities

• Spares stock control
• Sieve stretching
• Plansifter and purifier maintenance
• Liaise(cooperate) with Milling team on requiremen
• Conduct safety and cleanliness checks
• Maintain good housekeeping standards
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Adhere to safety requirement
• Assist with bin dips tasks
• Cleaning of the Mill area and help with mill chokes
• Relieve in Rework mixing and bran & bulk loading
• Will be required to do general plant maintenance

Qualifications

• Health and Safety Standards
• Minimum: NQF 4 or Grade 12 or similar relevant qualification [Recognition of Prior Learning [RPL] will be applied based on SETA accreditations.
• 6 months experience in the similar environment will be advantageous.
• Computer literacy will be needed.
• Forklift License will be an advantage
