Placements24 is seeking a certified Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive care for athletes at their Nelspruit facilities. The role covers injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation across multiple sports, working with coaches and physicians to ensure optimal athlete health and performance.

The ideal candidate has a strong clinical background, BOC certification, and licensure eligibility for the region, with excellent communication skills and a dedication to athlete

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field is required.
• BOC certification for Athletic Trainers is required or eligible.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the relevant province/state.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries per medical protocols.
• Develop and implement individualized injury prevention programs.
• Provide immediate care for acute injuries during training and competition.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers for coordinated care.
• Educate athletes, coaches, and parents on injury prevention and wellness.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a certified and experienced Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive care for athletes at their state-of-the-art sports facilities in Nelspruit . This role involves injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletes across various sports disciplines. You will work closely with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the optimal health and performance of athletes. The ideal candidate is dedicated, knowledgeable, and possesses excellent clinical skills, with a strong understanding of sports injuries and their management in a performance setting within the Mpumalanga region.

Key Responsibilities

• Prevent, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries according to established medical protocols.
• Develop and implement individualized injury prevention programs for athletes and teams.
• Provide immediate care for acute injuries during training and competition.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate athletes, coaches, and parents on injury prevention, health, and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
• Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the relevant province/state.
• Proven experience in athletic injury management and rehabilitation.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and sports medicine principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with athletes and staff.
