Job description

Our Company:

The Associate Manager, Finance Data Operations is responsible for leading the team that governs the integrity, accuracy, and flow of critical business data across all financial systems. This role extends beyond sales contract administration to oversee broader systems data alignment—including CRM data, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), billing engines, ERP platforms (such as Salesforce and NetSuite) and in-house platforms (ie. Operator).

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Operations and Data, this leader will establish robust validation procedures, resolve data discrepancies between systems, and ensure that upstream operational inputs result in seamless downstream billing, accounting, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, systems-savvy supervisor capable of managing a high-performing data team, driving automation in data verification, and acting as a bridge between Sales Operations and Finance.

What You'll Do:
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage daily operations of the Finance Data Operations team, ensuring appropriate resource allocation, productivity, and professional development.
  • System & Data Alignment: Oversee and reconcile data interfaces and data flows between front-end systems (Salesforce), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, billing/financial engines (NetSuite) and in-house platforms/data warehouses (eg. Operator and BigQuery) to guarantee system-to-system consistency.
  • Validation & Quality Control: Implement rigorous validation protocols for critical sales, billing, and pricing data to ensure complete accuracy before billing cycles or downstream accounting closures occur (or any other function relying on the data).
  • Contract & Revenue Integrity: Manage contract administration processes, verifying that finalized sales agreements match financial schedules, pricing models, and compliance standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Sales Operations, Billings, Revenue, and Accounting teams to troubleshoot system integration issues and optimize upstream data capture.
  • Reporting & Variable Compensation Support: Ensure timely validation and preparation of sales data, system performance metrics, and reporting necessary for variable compensation calculations.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to automate manual data validation processes, implement best practices, and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Audit & Compliance Management: Lead the preparation of internal and external data audit requests, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and data preservation standards are met.
  • Hands-on leader and not only a manager, but actively participating in daily processes to ensure data accuracy.
What You Have:
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of working experience in finance data operations, sales operations, system reconciliation, or a related quantitative operational field.
    • Previous experience in a global or multinational B2B environment is preferred.
  • Degree / Qualifications:
    • Tertiary level qualification in Information Systems, Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related analytical field.
  • Finance & Data Governance:
    • Meticulous attention to detail and high standard of data hygiene.
    • Robust understanding of financial processes, specifically Sales Ordering, Revenue Recognition, and Billings.
    • Strong capabilities in designing, optimizing, and maintaining data flows and validation routines.
  • Systems & Tools:
    • Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce (CRM) and/or formal Contract Lifecycle Management systems.
    • Strong experience working with NetSuite or similar mid-market/enterprise ERP platforms is highly advantageous.
    • Mastery of advanced Excel, Google Sheets, or data reconciliation tools.
    • Experience in automation and AI tools to ensure efficiencies in validation and reconciliations of data.
    • Experience with using data warehouses and tools such as BigQuery to manipulate and understand/extract large sets of data in daily operations.
  • Leadership & Business Acumen:
    • Proven ability to digest, synthesize, and resolve complex systemic errors under pressure.
    • Solid leadership or supervisory experience, demonstrating the ability to foster teamwork and support direct reports.
