Job summary

Globeleq seeks an Associate Data & ML Engineer to support data transformation, build pipelines, and prepare data for AI/ML use cases in a Cape Town team. You will contribute to SSOT development, onboarding assets, and maintaining production-grade components under senior guidance.

You will apply data governance practices, collaborate with engineers, and leverage libraries for ML tasks while ensuring code quality and compliance with IT standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with API integration and ETL/ELT scheduling.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data engineering and ML enablement.
• Experience with data modelling and production operations.
• Familiarity with AVEVA PI and industrial data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, monitor, and maintain data pipelines across API and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Develop SSOT and consolidate data from CAMs, ERP, OT, IoT into layered architecture.
• Develop ML algorithms for anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
• Onboard assets and map tags into AVEVA PI CAMs using templates.
• Adhere to governance, security, and change-record standards.
